The Lagoon 500 has been designed for maximum comfort. It features a forward cockpit with opposite seating for guests providing an unobstructed forward view.
The entire layout is designed for simplicity of movement and passage towards the transoms (the rear of the boat) and the foredeck is easy. The aft passageway is entirely independent from the cockpit. The helm station on the fly bridge and the main salon entrance is at deck level. There is a built-in cupboard in the cockpit for the fridge, storage and a sink. The cockpit table can be readily stored in the permanent Bimini top protecting the aft cockpit.
There is easy access to the sea via the rear transoms. Wide steps and a built in stainless steel swimming ladder is under the last step. Wide side-decks and recessed hatches improve the safety and appearance of the boat. The fly-bridge helm-station on the Lagoon 500 is a superb living space with access from each side, rope lockers, cup-holders, a spray-hood with a transparent front windshield and a long six-seat bench.
The teak Alpine woodwork and the laminated wenge flooring give a modern and relaxing feel. The saloon has comfortable leather seating that can accommodate up to eight diners. Guests can gather for a relaxing evening around the modular table or in front of the television, for which a special space has been provided.
In addition to above layout, Edu-Cat's port forepeak contains a crew berth and the starboard forepeak has a crew shower and toilet. Engine controls and electronic instruments are installed at the chart table enabling the boat to be driven under power from the saloon in inclement weather.
The fully-equipped galley positioned slightly below on the port side has a four-burner hob with automatic lighting, a large oven and grill and a fridge. A microwave oven is also installed. In the lower galley there is a big workbench, two additional refrigerator/freezers and adequate natural-wood storage cupboards and shelves. The professional stainless steel worktop and the triple sink guarantee a long and useful life for this chef's galley.
The accommodation steps are practical and on the port side lead to two VIP cabins and the lower galley. The "island" berths in both the forward and aft guest suites can be reached from three sides, thus providing optimum access comfort. There are large and useful storage spaces. The washrooms are spacious with plexi-glass doors on the separate shower compartments and a well thought-out ventilation system. On the starboard side there are two stairways both leading to guest suites with the rear suite on this side being particularly spacious and incorporating a built-in leather lounge.Cruising charter area
