Lil Yachty has dropped off his second cut of 2024. Entitled "Something Ether," the track, in classic Yachty fashion, is a stark sonic shift from his first cut of 2024, "A Cold Sunday."

"Something Ether" finds the rapper in his experimental era, spitting hard-hitting bars over distorted 808s. "I like my b****** delusional (Huh) / It's 'bout who you is, not who you know (Huh) / Let me splurge on you, b****, you beautiful (Huh) / I ain't never work in no cu— (What?) / I ain't never work in no cubicle (Grr)," he sputters over the first verse.

The visuals, led by AMD Visuals and Little Miles, amplify the experimental vibe.  After a flashing lights warning message, shaky footage of Boat pieced together by trippy editing flashes across the screen. "I feel like you'd have to wear special glasses to edit this video," one user wrote in an Instagram comment.

AMD Visuals and Yachty go way back; the producer has spearheaded a plethora of visuals for the rapper, most recently whipping up the videos for "A Cold Sunday" as well as recent J. Cole feature "The Secret Recipe," "Poland," "Strike (Holster)," "SOLO STEPPIN CRETE BOY" and "TESLA."

Yachty packaged "Something Ether" up nicely for the fans, curating a five-pack of some of his recently released one-off singles. "A Cold Sunday" is the second track, followed by "The Secret Recipe" and earlier 2023 tracks "TESLA," "SOLO STEPPIN CRETE BOY" and "Strike (Holster)."
